Who should take this?
This training is open anyone with the "license to touch" according to your state's regulations, such as licensed massage therapists, physical therapists, nurses, etc. This is also open to those who have had previous training in Ayurveda. What will I learn?
You'll learn the philosophy and theory behind Ayurvedic techniques and assessment, along with hands-on practice and protocols.

Understand and learn the contraindications, preparations, and treatment protocols to the following ayurvedic bodywork applications:

Correlation of energetics through Marma Chikitsa

Understand the elemental and constitutional theories for self care and client-based application

Acquaint yourself with external herbal oil applications commonly used in ayurvedic bodywork

Discover the process of client intake and documentation through the Ayurvedic lens

Find a deeper practice of mindfulness and the connection with the natural world through Ayurveda

March 12-17, 2023
The cost of this training includes two days of in-person training PLUS lodging and breakfast in a beautiful resort-like cabin in the Hocking Hills of Ohio. You'll also have some free time to hike, explore, journal and find deep rest in the quiet of nature while you give and receive bodywork and learn these techniques. This is a complete immersion into Abhyanga and introductory Ayurvedic bodywork.

This course has been approved for 19 hours of coursework from NCBTMB.
6 hours may be used for YACEP continuing education from Yoga Alliance

This training will give you the depth of knowledge and understanding needed to offer Ayurvedic bodywork to your clients within the framework of your scope of practice and after fully assessing their needs and understanding the indications and contraindications for these treatments.

This could be a game-changer for your practice as together, we integrate the knowledge of the natural world and the environment with physical, emotional and spiritual balance through Ayurveda.
Who is teaching this course?
The instructor for this class is Jeannie Faulkner, M.S., M.Ed., LMT, AyT. Jeannie has been studying and teaching Ayurveda for over 16 years and has been using the tools you'll be learning to help her clients find balance through Ayurveda. Jeannie learned these techniques and theories through years of study, both in India and the US, and through her daily practice with clients and through the integration of Ayurveda into her own life. She has a Master's degree in Education from Ohio University and a Master of Science degree in Integrative Health and Ayurveda from MIU. She believes we can help ourselves holistically by integrating body, mind and spirit and through a deeper connection with the natural world. Jeannie loves to share and keeps classes engaging and interesting.
What is the cost of the training?
The cost for all five days full days of training plus 10 hours of additional online training and practice to become an Ayurvedic Bodyworker is $1800. This includes:
